Emily Adelle joined our family on February 1, 2016. She was 6 lbs 13.5oz and 18 inches. We had suspected she had Down syndrome due to some early screen testing. We chose not to get an amnio, the only way to confirm the screenings, due to the low risks involved. Emily does have Down syndrome. We are content knowing that God's plan for our family includes her. We know there will be challenging days, but have been blessed with a lot of caring people, family, and friends in our lives.
