Olivia-27months

Olivia turned 27 months on Wednesday, Feb. 20.  She has been enjoying the snow.  Her other favorite this past week has been playing with the big Legos, building towers and castles.  She also has an affinity for putting socks on her hands (with none on her feet)--they are her puppets or gloves.  She loves to help bake cookies.
Olivia can draw straight lines, continuos circles, and enjoys pretending to write her name.  She also likes to color (not accurately) in items.  Her favorite art project media by far is paint.  See exhibit A (the 27 month picture...).  Olivia has been counting, although not accurately when applied to items.  She will fill in stories or common phrases she hears if you pause for her to do so.  She enjoys singing songs-especially ones with actions.
Olivia is still a charmer, although has been somewhat shy around new people in the past few weeks.  She will also snag some cuddle time when she feels like it.  (Perhaps because she is getting a 2 year molar?)  She remembers things and will ask for people or things we've done.  Olivia has been taking a toddler gymnastics class at the Y, which is basically an open gym exploration of the gymnastics facilities.  She has enjoyed the jumping, swinging, and is learning to slow her body down for the balance things.  :)
