Time for a monthly update! Olivia is now 21 months old. She continues to pick up new words and is beginning to use more two word phrases. Some of my favorites from the week: "more crumbs", "bear steps", and "bye grandma". Most of the time you have to have some context for them to make sense, but they do! She's making more requests as well-- "potty", "snacks", "blankies", "books", "sit/mama sits". You can often catch her singing a mish-mash of songs. This month's selections: ABC song, Old MacDonald, and Baa, Baa, Black Sheep. She loves to play outside and has had an interest in bikes (we don't have one). She has picked up some dribbling/bouncing of the ball and is working on toss and catch. She'll jump. Olivia loves to color and her scribbling is beginning to get more refined (promise, it's not the same as it was a few months ago!). She likes stickers and about any kind of art project. Recently, she has begun asking to sit on the potty so we'll try a little potty training soon and see where we get. She continues to be a happy, fun toddler! With a bit of an independent streak. ;)
She is getting to be such a big girl! Amazing how that works.
