May was off to an enjoyable start--Sarah took Mr and Olivia to Lowe's to pick out May Day flowers. They did really well holding my hands and listening. Olivia smelled almost every flower and picked out a pack of marigolds for our May Baskets. She carried them to the check-out and then out to the car. When we pulled in the driveway she asked for the "flower". Then she carried them around a bit more and kissed them before setting them down. Oh, yes, and then they got put in the dog dish. So sweet.
We been finding and trying different activities to keep us occupied--
| After Cookie Bookie April 27. |
| Planting a few strawberries. April 28 |
| Playing with babies--they continue to be a favorite. At present, they sleep with her too. |
And then Friday evening sickness hit. Olivia ended up spiking a fever and we were up most of the night with her on and off. Sarah had to work Saturday, so Dan and Olivia spent most of the day hanging out watching Elmo's World. (Seriously, we've had to wean the girl off of it over the past few days.) She just spent time cuddling, watching Elmo, and reading books Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We made a visit to the doctor--she had an red throat (pharyngitis). After a day or so of antibiotic, she was on the mend. Thankfully, she was better by Wednesday so we could attend Mother/Daughter banquet with everyone.
