Two Weeks Old!

Olivia turns two weeks old today.  We are starting to settle into having her around...functioning on a few hours of sleep, changing outfits a few times a day (mine and hers), and doing lots of laundry.  Okay---that's mostly me.  Dan is functioning on less sleep, but just gets to help in the evenings since he has returned to work.  Brisco takes every bit of attention he can get and has figured out how to comfortably position himself on my lap while I feed Olivia.  Quite the scene I am sure. 
Olivia has grown already--her cheeks have filled out and she's getting stronger.  She is most alert in the morning and also has a "bright-eyed" time in the early evening.  This morning she spent some time on her tummy, looked at a black and white book, and listened while I read The Night Before Christmas.  She also got a bath today.  Funny moment of the day--me getting pooed on for the second time (the first was as she entered this world!).  Dan got to witness this moment and we laughed over it.  What else can you do?  Dan holds the "I got peeed on first" title.  That's a lot of pee and poo talk, but that's most of our days.  Olivia eats every hour or two.  Eat, sleep, and poo. 
We got our Christmas tree and decorations up this week--took most of the week, but the house is festive!  It should be a fun holiday season.  When we decorated the tree, Olivia enjoyed looking at the Christmas tree lights with Dan and listening to the Christmas Toy Box bells play songs.  Then she slept.  And Dan dozed with her, while I put the rest of the ornaments on the tree. ;)
